β½οΈ I get asked this question so many times by youth soccer parents.
π Many parents read articles stating kids should always play multiple positions and automatically assume itβs a bad thing to be stuck in one position.
π§ When you combine playing experience with coaching experience you realize itβs sometimes a mixture of instinct, art and science.
π Playing a kid who doesnβt have a strong technical / tactical base consistently in 4 positions in every game can be just as harmful as playing a kid defense for years.
ποΈ Every kid is unique. Some kids thrive being an expert in one position.
