My Sifu, GM Shum lived a full and accomplished life gave positive energy to many students! He is one of the early Kung Fu trailblazers arriving from Hong Kong to New York City in 1971. Opened his YJP School in 1974. For many years, always there 6-days a week, never missed a day, on the floor teaching everyone in his unique way and passion!

It has been a wonderful journey with Sifu from day one back in 1976. I am extremely fortunate and honored to have crossed paths with such an outstanding master!

May God and the Buddha bless my Sifu in the afterlife! Rest in Peace Sifu! Until we meet again…

Eagle Claw Kung Fu trains the concept of "Jow Da" - a Clawing & Striking tactic for self-defense. To restrict and/or control the arm momentarily, using a single claw or a double claw grab when the opportunity presents itself. This is an intermediate to advanced skill set of Ying Jow Faan Tzi Moon training.
