Ideal Martial Arts is a family-focused martial arts school in San Gabriel, CA, specializing in Taekwondo-based training for children ages 4–11. We help students build confidence, discipline, and focus through structured classes, sparring, weapons training, and a unique 12-week character development program that connects the lessons of the dojang to home and school life. Our experienced instructors

create a supportive environment where shy or high-energy kids thrive — not just as martial artists, but as respectful, resilient individuals. From beginner-friendly intro classes to advanced training, Ideal Martial Arts is where your child’s growth becomes a reality. We hope you and your family have a fun, safe, and memorable Independence Day filled with celebration and time together.

As a reminder, our studio is closed for our Summer Break through July 5.

🥋 Classes resume on Monday, July 6, and we can't wait to see everyone back on the mat, ready to train and continue working toward your goals!

This past week reminded us how essential family is in the journey of learning and growth.

Our Mother's Day class(sorry for the late post😜) celebrated the strength and sacrifices of moms, while last Saturday’s Father's Day session honored fathers' vital roles. Without their support, our students simply wouldn't be where they are today.

At the core of it all is the truth that families sweat and kick together—and that unity creates unshakable bonds. We deeply appreciate every parent for standing with us in this journey.

Let's continue to work hand in hand. Because when families and education unite, success follows.

Hello Ideal Martial Arts Families,
In honor of Memorial Day, Ideal Martial Arts will be CLOSED on Monday, May 25th.
As we enjoy time with family and friends, we also take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who sacrificed for our freedom. ❤️🤍💙

After months of preparation, 2025 National Championships has come to an end. It is the first time our IMA sparring team has competed in the biggest competition in the nation. Our students did amazing and fought hard throughout the week earning our school 4 medals! Thank you to everyone that has supported our journey! We will come back even stronger next year! This Memorial Day, Ideal Martial Arts honors the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

We are grateful for their courage, strength, and dedication. Let us take a moment to reflect, remember, and give thanks.

Our studio will be closed today in observance of Memorial Day.
Classes will resume tomorrow as we return with renewed appreciation and spirit.
