This is a Free Form Movement Space, Guided only by the Music, your own Body, Mind, & Spirit, and those of your Fellow Dancers. You are encouraged to Dance Barefoot, and asked to refrain from wearing Scent, taking Pictures, or

being under the influence of Intoxicants. This helps us to drop into the Movement. For Some of us, this is a Spiritual Practice. For others it is simply Exercise, or even non-Verbal Socialization. For many, it is also our Mental Therapy, and our Heart Medicine. There is often either a yoga class or a contact imporov class (or both) before dance, included in admission. The cost is $25 Drop-in

ALIA is an acclaimed Electronic Music Producer and DJ from the SF Bay Area. Since 2008 ALIA has toured globally bringing her medicine to dance floors of all varieties on many continents. She has performed her original music at respected festivals including Wanderlust, Envision, Lucidity, SoulPlay, Enchanted Forest, Beloved, and Imagine Festival and at shows with artists such as Deya, Dova, Porangui, Phutureprimitive, Desert Dwellers, and other top caliber talents.
She has been a resident DJ and crowd favorite of Ecstatic Dance Bay Area since its first year and has brought her journeys to ecstatic dances across the globe. ALIA is often tapped to bring her sensual, bass-heavy sets to a variety of cutting-edge events as well. As a producer, ALIA has released two “Feminine Medicine” original albums - which included collaborations with eight female artists - remixes for other artists, and her music is featured on the soundtrack for “The Bloom Series”. VESICA is an Oakland-based Ecstatic Dance DJ whose journey began in the early days at the Ecstatic Dance at Sweets Ballroom in 2008. In 2010, VESICA co-founded Ecstatic Dance Berlin —the movement’s first international offshoot— helping spark its worldwide spread. Since then, VESICA has been invited to share sets across the world, from Lightning in a Bottle and cities like Los Angeles, Nevada City, and Oakland, to far-reaching dance floors in Moscow, Bukarest, Barcelona, and Ibiza.
VESICA is a dancers’ DJ with a predilection for soulful organic world beats and scrumptious global bass. Her sets are poly-genre, tempo-morphing, dance floor love that irresistibly moves feet, hips and heart into a deep and embodied journey of catharsis and transformation. Rooted in contemporary dance and Brazilian social dances, her path weaves through somatic education, contact improvisation, bodywork, yoga, gyrokinesis, and transpersonal psychology. Brigitte's passion is in integrating these worlds—guiding people into deeper connection with themselves through embodied movement and creative expression. As part of her ongoing research, she developed Liquid Leading—a practice that transcends traditional gender roles and invites each dancer to speak their truth through movement. It transforms dance into a co-creative language where stories can be exchanged, not just performed.

JÄMI is the new steward of Ecstatic Dance SF and the Founder of Movement Church - and a Vibrational Architect who lives in Hawaii, designing life-changing experiences for thousands worldwide - Studying and practicing with the Sufi’s for over 20 years, Jämi is a visionary producer with an ear for the exotic. A true musicologist, he sources and rides the emergent wave of sonic innovation. His mixes span all genres and tempos of dance music serving up an alchemical elixir of multi-dimensional sound wizardry. Jämi elegantly plays live percussion during his set which uniquely activates the shamanic potential of the dance floor. His beats are a ceremonial carnival of epic proportion. His artistry is truly unique - he is gifted and clearly called to hold some very new and transformational frequencies.

International dance artist, instructor, performer, and transformational movement guide - Her journey is Rooted in contemporary dance and Brazilian social dances, her path weaves through somatic education, contact improvisation, bodywork, yoga, gyrokinesis, and transpersonal psychology. Brigitte's passion is in integrating these worlds—guiding people into deeper connection with themselves through embodied movement and creative expression. As part of her ongoing research, she developed Liquid Leading—a practice that transcends traditional gender roles and invites each dancer to speak their truth through movement. It transforms dance into a co-creative language where stories can be exchanged, not just performed.

Musician and dancer, born into a musical family, Sly & the Family Stone, Marcel was raised in a diverse background of sound. As a young teen he later entered the arts of dance (breaking and house), and dj’ing (disco and deep tech) at local parties.
As Marcel continued to learn of other styles of music and dance, his selection of music continued to expand, while becoming more refined for dj’ing these new genres, particularly with electronic and world music. As a musician, Marcel also occasionally performs live Afro/Arabic based percussion in his dj sets, adding an organic feel to his music curation for the dancer.
Marcel has Dj’d and danced at ecstatic dance events from Tulum to Haifa, from Tel-Aviv to Guatemala, from Nevada City to Sacramento, and is bringing new vibes from his global experiences to his music curation for his ecstatic dance dj sets.
As a dancer, Marcel looks for music that will inspire movement within the dancer and aims to curate sounds that accentuate the vocabulary of every dancer’s movement, wether it be salsa, belly dancing, Balkan, Senegalese, house, vogue, hustle, etc.
