The end of an era.
In its 15 years, Play Recess became so much more than a sports league. What started as a simple way to get outside, meet people, and play schoolyard games grew into a vibrant community where friendships formed and memories were made.
Many of my closest friends came from this league, and from the stories so many of you have shared with me over the years, the same is true for you. Getting to meet all of you, and seeing so many friendships grow over the seasons (along with relationships and even marriages!!), has been the most rewarding part of running this league.
To everyone who played, captained, helped organize, or simply showed up every week to have fun, thank you for bringing to life everything I hoped Play Recess could be.
