As Gael heads off to college, we wanted to take a moment to thank him for everything he’s brought to the team. From day one, he’s shown up with a great attitude, a willingness to learn, and the work ethic that every coach hopes to see in an athlete. We’re proud to have watched him grow both in and out of the gym.

We also want to thank our entire fight team and coaching staff. The support, hard work, and dedication everyone brings to Rise is what makes this team special. Every round, every practice, every fight camp, and every teammate contributes to the culture we’ve built together.

Gael, we’re excited for this next chapter in your life and know you’ll do great things wherever you go. Once you’re part of the Rise family, you’re always part of the Rise family. We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way.

Shoutout to some of the amazing members of our fight team. 🥊

These athletes help make Rise Combat Sports what it is. They show up consistently, push their teammates to improve, support one another, and help create a positive atmosphere both on and off the mats.

We’re grateful for the hard work, dedication, and encouragement they bring to the gym every day. A strong team is built by strong people, and we’re lucky to have them representing Rise.

As Pride Month continues, we’re also proud to recognize their support for the LGBTQ+ community and their commitment to helping make our gym a welcoming place for everyone.

In Loving Memory of Luis ❤️

Please join us as we celebrate the life of Luis on June 5, 2026, at 5:00 PM at his bench on 20th Street at the top of Dolores Park.

We’ll gather to share stories, memories, laughter, and love as we honor the impact Luis had on all of us. Feel free to bring food, blankets, candles, flowers, or anything meaningful that reminds you of him. Together, we’ll create a space filled with the love and memories he leaves behind.

Luis touched the lives of so many, and this will be an opportunity for friends and family to come together, remember him, and celebrate the person he was.

Another successful night for the team this past Saturday 👊🔥

Everyone came in prepared, fought hard, and represented Rise Combat Sports the right way. Win or lose, we’re proud of every single fighter who stepped in there and gave it their all. The growth, composure, and heart everyone showed was something special to watch.

Big thank you to all of our coaches for the nonstop work behind the scenes — the training, preparation, cornering, and support does not go unnoticed. We appreciate everything you do for the team 🙏

Also huge thank you to everyone who came out to support in person and everyone who tuned into the Instagram Live. The support from our members, friends, family, and community means a lot to the fighters and to the gym ❤️

🚨 FIGHT WEEK 🚨

This Saturday, Ivan, Martin, and Gael will be representing Rise Combat Sports at Muay Thai MTX 3 in El Cerrito 🥊🔥

Ivan and Martin are both coming in 1-0 and looking to keep the momentum going after dominant performances in their first fights. Since then, both have continued to sharpen their skills, improve every week, and level up their game even more 👊

Gael will also be stepping into his very first PKB and is looking to make a statement in his debut 💥

The whole team has been putting in hard rounds, hard sparring, and staying consistent in training. We’re excited to see them showcase all the hard work this weekend.
