It takes a village to get better. We all learn from each other, adaptive or otherwise. Some of the most powerful lessons are not during class but in conversations after, between athletes. Build something authentic and people will come to contribute.

There are many paths to getting up off of the floor gracefully. Diane working on getting up off of the ground (aka a burpee) with only the use of one arm and one leg. Polio has robbed most of the function of the other limbs. There is always a way to be better.

No arms? No problem. As a polio survivor, Diane has some significant weakness in her arms that can make it difficult to hold weight while squating. Solution: heavy chains over the shoulders. This solution has been so successful that she now wears the chains all day as a fashion statement.
