bsite to learn more. Established in 2007. Warm Planet started as a small bike shop (really small, our original showroom was about the size of your bedroom), that supported the bicycle valet at Caltrain where we did commuter repairs and sold folding bikes. In 2014 we moved to a spacious new store on Market street. We're excited to have the room to sell cargo, folding, and e-bikes, and continue to support the growing urban utility cyclist market. Our staff have an aggregate of over 90 years commuting, touring and utility cycling. Whatever you ride, whether it needs precision adjustment, or a whack with a big hammer, we know how to keep it running.

When Sunset Dunes opened a year ago, it made history as California’s largest pedestrianization project, creating a 2-mile, 50-acre oceanside park stretching from Sloat Boulevard to Lincoln Way.

Since then, it’s become a vibrant gathering place where people of all ages come to play, relax, bike, skate, walk, run, and connect by the coast.

Longtime San Francisco residents Susan (left) and Carol Jean (right) recently stopped by to take it all in.

Susan, who lives nearby, shared that the park offers a “sense of freedom and calm” as she strolled with her dog along the ocean.

“Sunset Dunes is my favorite park,” added Carol Jean, noting the joy and energy she sees in visitors.

The two especially loved the park’s creative installations, which they said bring people together and strengthen the sense of community.

“There’s so many structures here to admire,” Carol Jean said, adding that her favorite is the Wave Heart, located at Judah Street. “You can look through the heart and express your love for everyone.”

Join us this Sunday for the rescheduled PloverFest, celebrating Sunset Dunes’ one-year anniversary. Enjoy live music, a kids’ zone, a youth stage, and more from noon to 4 p.m.

With help from Ride with GPS, we put together a map featuring the growing number of rides to celebrate and remember Alex Pretti this Saturday. There are already more than 75 events organized in Canada, Germany, Austria, Finland, Australia, and all across the United States. Find them via the link below, and leave a comment on the site if you’re organizing a ride we can add to the map. Thanks to Angry Catfish for organizing and Casey Robertson for the artwork.
