We braved the crazy weather in SF to a gorgeous Friday night (ice skating in the Valley!) and then braved the light rain and snow while staying in our cozy cabins. The electricity went out for the day but the dinning areas were all up and functioning, the lounge had a well lit fireplace, the sky cleared for a stunning full moon over Half Dome and then we woke up to a stunning sunny Sunday morning!

First trip to Lake Ahjumawi up by Lassen last weekend!! Stopped by Subway Cave for a quick hike before heading to the little town of McArthur and down good 'ol Rat Road. Gorgeous weekend!

September is one of the best times to come out kayaking and it's FREE with UCSF Outdoor Programs for UCSF students! So, spread the word and come on out! To sign up just reply to this email. Guests can come by simply registering online via the Fit/Rec website.

Awesome weekend in Lassen with students from Argentina, Germany, Denmark, China, Thailand, Nigeria, Iran, France and the U.K. and of course, a couple from the U.S.! We camped at Manzanita Lake, hiked up to the summit of Brokeoff Mtn and strolled the boardwalk of Bumpass Hell. A swim in Lake Helen ended a great day.
