When I first started coaching at CCSF in 1992 there were a box of wooden plaques of school record holders for various events from the 1960’s. One had the name of Dwight Tucker, a 51’ triple jumper in 1966.
About a year ago, I ran into Dwight at Lake Merritt and I kind of remembered his name on one of the plaques. I told him about this but since I retired at the end of 2020, I wasn’t sure if the box was still around. Kudos to former Cross Country and Track Coach, Adam Lucarelli for locating the plaque.
Took me until today to see Dwight again, but finally presented the plaque to Mr. Dwight Tucker, jumper extraordinaire, (and brother of SF distance legend Ben Tucker).
Job well done! Thank you for setting a standard of excellence for CCSF Track and Field.
Go Rams!
