Whistler, Canada is one of those places that lives at the top of most every mountain biker's bucket list. With over 70 unique trails to choose from, you can ride just about anything, because Whistler has EVERYTHING. So what bike do you bring somewhere with trails this varying and numbered?

That's the same question we asked our Retail Marketing Director, Molly Murrow, when she got invited to go race the Whistler Back Forty. Out of all the bikes she could have rolled with, she decided to put a new release from Santa Cruz Bicycles to the ultimate test.

While 130mm of travel might sound modest for BC, the Tallboy's progressive geometry swallowed up the rugged, steep descents with absolute confidence. Her review after clawing up 4,500 feet of vert, including one pitch on the last stage that hit a grueling 27% grade? "The Tallboy handled it beautifully."

Rides like the Whistler Back Forty are why we continually fall in love with mountain biking over and over again. Connecting with the lush, beautiful nature around us, supporting a trail org like WORCA, and pushing our limits alongside people who just seem to get it. ⁠
