A mother is strength long before the fight even begins.

She is the one who teaches us how to get back up after we fall, the one who protects with her heart, celebrates quietly from the sidelines, and turns love into courage every single day.

On the mats of life, the first black belt many of us ever know is our mother: steady, patient, resilient, and full of love.

Today we celebrate all the mothers who inspire, support, train, care, encourage, and remind us that true strength also lives in an embrace.

Every great journey tells a story that ultimately becomes its legacy. Along the path, footprints are left behind. Looking back, a tear of pride fills a soul that is both certain and at peace… because this is my story, and it is who i am.

Today, we are not just celebrating a man’s birthday… we are celebrating the building of a legacy. 🥋

Over the years, he has transformed the mat into more than just a place to train. He turned it into a space for growth, discipline, and transformation. Where many come to learn how to fight, he has taught them how to live.

For him, jiu-jitsu has never been just about technique. It is philosophy. It is a path. It is the art of falling and rising again with greater awareness, strength, and purpose.

Every student who has trained under him carries a piece of that essence. Every belt tied represents more than physical progress — it reflects character being shaped, minds growing stronger, and spirits being guided.

There is greatness in teaching techniques… but there is something rare in teaching values. And that is where his true legacy is built — quietly and enduringly.

Today, we look at his journey with respect and admiration. Because it is not only about what he has achieved, but about everything he has helped build in others.

And so, between falls and fresh starts, he continues… leaving marks that time cannot erase.

We recently had the privilege of being part of a truly memorable moment with our partners at .bjj.of.sonora

Professor Matheus was invited to give a talk on a topic of critical importance: self defense.

He was also present to support and witness the students’ belt promotion ceremony, a deeply symbolic and emotional milestone that represents new achievements and new horizons.

We are grateful to our hosts for welcoming our professor so warmly, and congratulations on the incredible work you are doing in building such a strong team and community. May our partnership continue to grow even stronger.

And finally, congratulations to all the students who were promoted. May many more accomplishments lie ahead. It was an honor to share this special moment with all of you.

Yesterday the mat pauses for a moment to celebrate someone who makes a real difference on it.

Sara is not just a coach. Anyone who trains with her knows: she brings intensity, discipline, sensitivity, and an almost contagious passion for jiu jitsu. She is the kind of person who walks into a training session and instantly changes the energy in the room.

Over time, many students have learned techniques from her. But those who pay attention learn much more than that. They learn about persistence, about believing in themselves, and about continuing even when the training gets tough.

Today we celebrate the birthday of a woman who builds something greater than medals or belts every single day. She helps shape stronger, more confident, and more courageous people both on and off the mat.

Sara, may this new chapter be filled with great training sessions, meaningful moments, and many achievements.

Happy birthday. It is an honor to share the mat and life with you. 🥋✨
