The American Hung Sing Gwoon was established in 1939 in San Francisco and is the oldest Chinese martial arts school in the United States. The system is a southern Chinese martial art known for its powerful strikes and rapid attacks. It is excellent for both self-defense and fitness! o Salvatera learned the art from Grandmaster Jew Leong in the 1960s and went to China to learn from Grandmaster Ho Cherk Wah in the early 2000's in Fut San China, a city known for its long history of kung fu traditions. We are located in the Sunset District in San Francisco and have been teaching at this location for decades.
