AVOID repainting who they are to who you want them to be.

AVOID talking yourself out of red flags and nonnegotiables.

RUN into the arms of those you feel safe and can be completely yourself with.

You deserve a love that respects + treasures you for who you fully are.

"Wonder when I'll hear from him..." 🤔
"Why hasn't he said anything yet?!" 😣
↑↑↑ Those ↑↑↑ used to be my mental cycles of anxiety waiting for men to respond back. It felt like pulling teeth... just... to... have... some engagement.

Ugh, have you ever found yourself constantly trying to decipher someone's intentions?
"Does he like me?" 😐
"So…where is this going?" 😕

Real, genuine connection goes beyond the unsaid. It’s built upon consistent efforts, clear intentions, and genuine commitment. The right person will not only tell you but show you in numerous ways how much they value you + your connection.

No guesswork.
No mixed signals.

If you're always left wondering, it might be time to reflect on what you truly deserve.

Don't let unacceptable behavior be "ok". Speak up to clarify your needs + wants, and give them a chance to rectify it. But if they don't, then that's clear feedback for you, too.

Remember, true love speaks through actions + words, not just the silence in between. Value yourself and the one who shows up wholeheartedly for you.

THE POLE IS GONE!! 💔
I woke up this morning to an undescript link from my boyfriend. Not knowing clicking on that link would reveal such sad news that this iconic Mission Peak metal pole has been vandalized and cut down. 🥺

The who and why are unknown besides demonstrating their disapproval and creating disappointment for those who were looking forward to seeing this iconic pole. I can still remember that moment of finally seeing THE iconic Mission Peak pole for the first time, in addition to celebrating our hiking efforts (with oh-so-much relief) and happily documenting our achievement with a few photos.

When we did it early this year, I was so concerned of doing this hike with my boyfriend since he’s so athletic and I’m… uhm… working-on-being-more-consistently-active. So now knowing that the pole is no longer there to greet + celebrate the hikers, especially for those like me who never thought I’d be able to summit this challenging hike, it is SUCH a bummer!! Hope the city of Fremont will resurrect this iconic monument for people to enjoy once again.

This is my reminder to you to do the things you’ve always said you’ve wanted to do or wish you could. You NEVER know what could happen in the next moment. It’s uncertain what circumstances could change that leads you to losing out on an opportunity.

Don’t wait for the perfect moment.

Don’t let your excuses hold you back.

Courageously go for it, and create those precious memories.

Relationship patterns can be broken and changed into something better. Just because it has happened in your past, it doesn't mean it needs to stay in your future.

When anticipating having a hard conversation, our mind can go to the worst case scenario and go “what if things end over this?”

It’s a possibility, but…
Maybe it won’t.

What if you two became closer after having this conversation? What if the relationship improves? What if the conversation went so well that nothing remotely close to your irrational fears even happened?

No matter what happens, isn’t it better to have known what each other truly think and feel about the situation sooner than later? Avoiding the answer doesn’t resolve anything. It just drags it out the inevitable.

Stop treading on eggshells and address the elephants in the room!
