During these uncertain times I urge you to stay educated! Check out reputable sources such as the CDC. I am hesitant to put information in this post as information is constantly changing but from a labor & delivery nurse here is what I encourage you to do!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you have questions or concerns regarding your pregnancy PLEASE call your OB provider, midwife or Labor & Delivery triage FIRST to see if you need to be evaluated. A phone call can sometimes save you a trip from leaving your house reducing your risk of exposure to COVID-19.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you are experiencing Coronavirus symptoms: cough, fever, shortness of breath. Call your provider, they will decide if you are eligible to get tested and where to go.

Ask questions about what changes have been made about where you are going to delivery!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✧ How has the visiting policy changed?
✧ Who can be with me at the bedside?
✧ Can support people switch?
✧ Is my private doula allowed as a visitor?
✧ Can siblings visit?
✧ Is the visiting policy the same in NICU + PP?
✧ How early postpartum can I be discharged?

Empower yourself with education during this time mama! This is a time when information is fluid and constantly changing. Speak up regarding your care and never be afraid to ask questions! Have questions, ask below 👇🏼
Stay healthy mamas ♥
