mPEAK is an intensive course in mindfulness training for those who seek to draw upon this proven practice to achieve their goals, both personal and professional, as well as attain new levels of performance and success. The intensive 8-week program is built around the latest brain research related to peak performance, resiliency, foc

us, and “flow”. The mPEAK program enhances the human capacity of mindfulness through established and empirically supported practices and exercises, tailored to fit the needs and desires of the team, organization or individual. As with physical training, this mental-emotional training program is based upon the understanding that optimal outcomes are most likely when participants continue to engage in the practices and exercises on a daily basis as a part of their training regimen. Mindfulness is effective precisely because it is way of being and relating to all aspects of life, rather than a specific technique or tool for a particular goal.

Looking to step up your performance without sacrificing your well-being? Corrie Falcon and Joe Glaser-Reich will be teaching an mPEAK (mindful performance enhancement, awareness and knowledge) class for UC San Diego’s Center for Mindfulness March 8-10. This class blends mindfulness, positive psychology, and performance psychology with an explicit focus on the application of mindfulness in high performance settings to achieve peak performance, build durable resilience, and cultivate sustainable well-being. It's also an amazing reason to travel to San Diego during the tail end of winter in most parts of the Northern Hemisphere.

They say "mindlessness", we says "flow". Under some stressful conditions, it's appropriate to pause, reflect on your thoughts, emotions and options before choosing a deliberate response. But when your competence is equal to your challenge , the practice is getting out of your own way and letting your skills flow through you, uninhibited.
