Yesterday, when I asked which area in your life you would like more confidence, it was almost exactly an even split between all 4 options:
▪️ Mindset
▪️ Career
▪️ Physical appearance
▪️ With friends/family
Confidence affects everyone in different ways. While your confidence levels vary from place to place, know that you're not alone and that there may be some barriers holding you back which you haven't even uncovered yet.
Some of these barriers could be:
1. Self-defeating assumptions. When was the last time you were stressed or worried about something and you actually said loud and proud "I CAN do that!!"? Usually, I hear "I can't do that..." or "That's not something I've tried before, can you ask someone else?" You can do anything you set your mind too--even if it takes a little longer to learn how🤓
2. Comparison trap. No-brainer on this one. IG makes it easy to jump into the comparison trap on the daily... Just remember that you have no idea what goes on in others' lives behind closed doors🙏
3. Blaming others. So so so so so easy to do. It's never your fault right?? Honestly, this is something that I've struggled with in the past where I didn't want to take responsibility for things not working because it was easier to deflect. Opening up and honoring these thoughts as just thoughts that will pass was a big game-changer for me to actually own the situation and make a change👏
4. Defensiveness. Goes hand-in-hand with blame. We've all been defensive a time or two when something doesn't quite go the way we want it too. I know you have too...don't lie🤔
5. Goals that are too big or distant. How easy is it to walk away from something that feels hard and you don't feel confident in because it seems like too much work? Rather than walk away completely, try to reframe it. Can you break them down into smaller goals--into milestones that are easier to accomplish?📝
*Open space to share here completely FREE of judgement* Which of these 5 have you found yourself doing more often?
