I hope everyone who came out for today's F**T enjoyed the beautiful day.

Congrats to Beric for setting a new record. I got to see Beric start and finish, he was looking strong. Hope to see him and all of you at the next F**T on Sunday 27 September. Bring along a friend to give a TT a try.

Do I need a time trial bike to do a time trial?
No, you don’t need a time trial bike.
None of the F**T categories require a time trial bike. You can ride any bike you would like in an age group, race category, or team category. Only a few categories, like the Merckx categories, have equipment requirements.

I’m going to ride my road bike at F**T, should I enter the Merckx category?
It is up to you. You can enter any appropriate age group category or race category. If your bike and helmet meet the requirements for Open Merckx, you can enter that category.

If this is your first time trial, and you will be riding your road bike, consider entering an age group category. See how it feels to do a time trial. Then you can think about getting a time trial bike or you can add clip-on extensions.
