Front Runners & Walkers San Diego

Front Runners & Walkers San Diego Front Runners & Walkers San Diego is a running and walking club whose members are primarily LGBTQ+ a We meet in San Diego and in North County.

In San Diego, we meet at the southeast corner of 6th Avenue and Laurel Street in Balboa Park on Saturdays at 8 am, for running and walking, with several routes available from 2½ to 6 miles (4 to 10 km). There are informal Sunday scheduled runs (6-10 miles) that help individuals prepare for races.

* Please be aware that we follow COVID 19 protocols in place that including mask requirements for non vaccinated attendees and recommend physical distancing *

Sunday 9/20 - 8am Fa**ss Run & Potluck Breakfast, 1pm Black’s Beach Day

Make sure to join us for one, a few or all of the events we have lined up for our 2026 SoCal Front Runners Weekend! SoCal Front Runner Clubs from LA, Palm Springs, Riverside, Long Beach, and even San Francisco have been invited to join us for the weekend full of Front Runner events as we show them a little of America’s Finest City. Members can attend all events, but we do require the $25 R Place Dinner to be purchased ahead of time because of seating limitations. Included in this weekend is our Annual Fa**ss Run at the Gliderport. This is a 3, 5, or 11 mile activity and we are asking only our FRWSD members who are attending to please bring a dish to share (can be store bought pastries, donuts, cut fruit, a hot dish - whatever you would like to share with our Front Runner friends. Beverages will be provided. Afterwards, we are heading down the mountain to Black’s Beach to enjoy a beach afternoon. (heading home to shower in between events is optional!)

Tonight we brought back a club favorite that has been absent for about 20 years…the Drag Race Relay!! What an absolute blast, where we had teams of three, who each ran a mile and the baton was a dress! The spectators in the park LOVED it! More videos and pictures to come!!
