🥳 BYC & SDYC JFlag Weekend Mixer 🥳

Friday Aug 20th - Sunday Aug 22nd

Join us for a weekend of boating and brunching with Balboa Yacht Club’s Junior Flags. They’ll be coming down to San Diego on Friday night and staying until Sunday, so we hope you can make it to an evening happy hour, mid-morning cruise, or our afternoon mixer at SDYC. Mix and mingle, and show BYC what SDYC is all about!

It’s Official! Our 4th Annual Buffalo Beach Camping Trip is scheduled September 30th-October 4th 2021🏕 ☀️ 🍻

It’s going to be our biggest and best event yet, spots are limited so stay tuned for event registration coming soon. Link will be added here and on sdyc.org

If you aren't following us on Instagram, head over to instagram.com/sdyc_jflags to get an idea of previous years from our story highlights. Expect kayaking, sailing, snorkeling, bonfires, great food, better company, gorgeous views, and hikes! We may even add karaoke this year 🎤 🎶

This event is rated number one favorite by the majority of JFlag attendees out of the various events we host every year. Don’t miss it!!

If camping is not for you, we are bringing back another popular event from 2019. Thirsty Thursdays start Thursday, June 17th and we’ll be adding some pickup games of Pickle Ball beforehand, just need to get the tennis court reserved. Stay tuned!

SDYC continues to monitor County Health Orders, but as conditions improve we are hopeful that Opening Day will be held in some form. Full weekend schedule is still TBD. Hoping to have a JFlag meet up on the lawn with some co****le and 🍻 so keep an eye out for more info here and in the Mainsheet. ⁣

💻The JFlag Committee is currently meeting on the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm on Zoom 😷 planning 1-2 socially distanced events per quarter and we’d love to get any ideas or feedback. Check out our bio for tentative 2021 schedule 🗓 ⁣

Goodbye 2020. Hello 2021!

A new year means new opportunities to join the j flag committee. We have a few spots open and are always looking for fresh faces and ideas for our events and races. If you’ve thought about joining but aren’t sure about the commitment, this is the year to do it! We’re anticipating few events for Q1 and Q2, and you can easily participate virtually! Hopefully by summer we’ll be able to resume our usual events like thirsty Thursdays, pavilion bbqs, and our highly anticipated annual Buffalo Beach camping trip.

Help us make 2021 a great year (you have an easy task after 2020!!). DM us for more info on open positions or send us ideas for virtual / socially distanced events. ☀️🤘🥂

It's that time of year again! We're thrilled to announce that the 3rd annual Buffalo Beach Camping Trip is on the calendar!

Friday, October 2nd - Monday, October 5th 2020

Join us for four days of sailing, swimming, and hiking adventures on SDYC's private beach on Catalina island. We're expecting great weather, a fun group, and plenty of freshly caught seafood for our traditional bbq potluck dinner.

If you've never been and always wanted to go, we hope you'll join! Many of our members make it an annual adventure and it's always worth it!
