Please come down to MO's Bar and Grill this Saturday, September 19th at 3pm for our first Gay Bowl fundraiser of the summer! 🥳 Proceeds from this event will benefit the SEVEN teams we’re sending to Gay Bowl XXVI in Minneapolis this October. 🏆🏈 Drink specials include $10 well pitchers 🍺 plus we’ll have a 50/50 raffle and plenty of Jell-O shots too, so join our teams representing San Diego for a fun afternoon at MO's! 😎

The league is looking for an intern or volunteer social media videographer for the 2027 SDAFFL season! 📹 This person will be asked to film and edit together short-form videos of various subjects throughout the season that will be posted as social media stories/reels by the league’s marketing & communications lead.📲

Examples include:
• Post-game social event recaps
• Game day sideline interviews with players and spectators
• Hype videos for upcoming large events
• Assorted videos as needed!

This videographer would be working directly with the respective board member responsible for design, branding and social media. 💻 If you or anyone you know are interested in this role with the league, or if you have any questions, please send an email to [email protected]! 😊

The SDAFFL will be sending seven teams to Gay Bowl XXVI in Minneapolis!—Four teams in the Open Division and three teams in the WTNB Division. We would like to congratulate all of the players selected by their team captains to represent San Diego this October. 🏆🏈 We would also like to thank everyone who showed interest this year. Our league has no shortage of amazing talent, and a large percentage of our league filled out the player interest survey this year, which was greatly appreciated. ❤️ In the weeks leading up to the tournament, we would like all of you to stay tuned for the upcoming events we have planned for Gay Bowl XXVI! 🙌🏼 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Our next community engagement opportunity is coming up at San Diego Pride which is taking place July 16-19. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ San Diego Pride has been a part of the community since 1974 and continues to bring together the LGBTQ+ community through celebration. 💕 It takes many volunteers to help plan and execute the Pride Parade and Festival 👨🏻‍🤝‍👨🏽👩🏾‍🤝‍👩🏽 so if you are interested in signing up to volunteer for San Diego Pride, please email Diego at [email protected]!

The SDAFFL would like to introduce our team captains that will be representing San Diego in Gay Bowl XXVI in Minneapolis this October! 🏆🏈

Tomorrow we will be hosting a Gay Bowl Player Combine at Nobel from 9:30-11:30am, for all interested Open and WTNB Division players who filled out the Player Interest Survey by the June 7th deadline.

The weather is expected to be fantastic tomorrow, so we look forward to seeing you there! 😎
