Larry’s Beach Club isn’t just a bar—it’s a cornerstone of Oceanside’s rich history. Located at 1145 S. Tremont Street, this venue has been a beloved gathering spot for over 75 years. Before becoming Larry’s in 2008 under the ownership of Larry Doan, it was known as McCabe’s Beach Club, and even earlier as “Across the Tracks” and “The Pump.” Its origins trace back to 1949 when it opened as the Old-Fashioned Garden Café, serving locals with hearty meals and cold drinks .
