One of the first questions Coach Autumn will ask you in the assessment process is “why do you want to train?”
This is an important question. While we all have our own personal motivation and fitness goals, they generally fall somewhere between look better, feel better, perform better.
It’s the last point— perform better, that functional training aims to address by helping you to
-Upgrade your movement patterns + functions.
-Improve your strength across those movement patterns
-Increases the physical performance of your body
Functional training— if done correctly, has a huge real life carry over to movements outside of the gym. Whether you are training to get up off the floor, lifting your grandchildren up with ease, or play your favorite sport— everyone can benefit from functional training.
