The one and only Maria TopCatt Is coming to San Diego in September and is swinging by Flaunt for a full Saturday of workshops! 🤩

Maria is a Draglesque performer, Emcee, and producer. Known as “the Long Legged Lady of the Jersey Turnpike”.

Saturday, Sept. 5

🦚2pm -Fancy Walking:
Let’s explore the purest form of movement. Walking. In this class we will unlock the wonders of stylized walking through the understanding of musicality, and components of natural gesture to help enhance the foundation of your performance style. This class draws from ballroom and Latin based techniques, combined with musical theatre performative aspects and modern jazz style movements. Let’s unlock the fancy feet beneath the bombshell!! You will walk in but you’ll strut, saunter and sashay your way out!

Any level can take this class. Can adapt to all levels.

🦚3pm -Musical Theatre/ Modern Jazz:
A good ol fashion JAAAAZZZZZ CLASSS!!!
Full body roll down and stretch session.
Battements jazz combo
Across the floor
Let’s learn a combo.

🦚4pm -Hosting Class:
Seminar based lecture. Going through the do’s and don’ts of emceeing. How to establish a voice for yourself. How to maintain a crowd. How to win over a crowd. How to handle a heckler. How to keep it moving and groovin. How to host a small little cabaret of 30/40 people and then switch to host on a giant stage for 300 people.

Single workshop: $22
All 3: $60

Long time performer and producer Lola Demure has been an advocate of fair pay for performers not only in the burlesque industry but the ballet industry as well. Through her 32 years of professional experience, she has created an extensive business workshop for performers and covers CA employment law, SD laws, submitting to shows/festivals, marketing, etc.
