What an amazing weekend in Big Bear 🐻
I took on the Dirty Bear 50-mile gravel race, and it definitely turned into an adventure. Unfortunately, I flatted early on and didn’t have the right tube. Huge thank you to Art, the first person who stopped to help get me rolling… but sadly, it went flat again.
The gravel community is truly something special. So many riders stopped and offered to help, even though no one had the right valve stem for my wheels. Then a group of three awesome guys came along with exactly what I needed. After nearly 2 hours of wrenching, I was finally back in the race.
Moments like these remind me that this sport is about so much more than racing. It’s about the incredible people who go out of their way to help complete strangers.
A huge thank you to Chris for the amazing hospitality and a fun weekend with an incredible group of people.🧡🍊🚴♀️
