Established in 2001

Originally, "La Jolla Soo Bahk Do" Matt Becker started teaching full time martial arts programs to children and adults. In 2008, Becker participated in the Gracie Instructor Certification Course held at the World Famous Gracie Academy in Torrance, California. After being Certified by Rorian, Ryron, and Rener Gracie under the authority of Grand Master Helio Gracie, Matthew Becker started teaching 100% pure Gracie Jiu-Jitsu to his students.

Advice to injured students: even though we train in a cooperative environment with safety is our number one concern, occasionally people get hurt. The only times I’ve seen students get noticeably worse during injury layoffs was when they simply stopped coming and just did nothing jujutsu related during their downtime.
