Reminder. No practice in lieu of Labor Day.

While you enjoy your time off. Think of those who fought to normalize safe working conditions, livable wages, reasonable hours, weekends and holiday off, and protections on the job.

In 1894 Labor Day officially became a federal holiday.

Today we celebrate the workers in our derby community and beyond. The skaters, officials, volunteers, teachers, healthcare workers, service workers, tradespeople, creatives, and everyone else who keeps our communities rolling. 🖤💛

🖤 Amefyst and it’s a play on Amethyst because my favorite color is purple, I like stones/ crystals, and it’s one of my favorite character’s name from the show Steven Universe!

💛favorite track snack or post-bout treat?
🖤 I love snagging a burrito after a bout!

💛 Most memorable SDRD moment?
🖤 Being on American Idol for 5 seconds during an episode opening montage! Me and a few teammates were skating downtown coincidentally at the same time American Idol was filming and they asked if they could film some footage of us to use for the episode!

💛I am a reporter so I chose Lois pain bc it sounds like Lois
Lane. I also just go by pain bc I injure myself a lot
