A few pictures on the way to Cabo San lucas. Crew caught 17 fish so far and we ate two of them. Wait let's back up a couple of weeks. After delay upon delay we finally departed with fresh crew members Brandon Bolic and Leonardo Ciriminna from San Diego. I thank everyone who supported this crazy dream and helped in many ways to bring this to a reality. I have to admit as I was leaving the harbor and passing the jetty as I have done 1000s of times before that this was the last time for a long time, and I was also thinking " What have I done" Sold two awesome businesses and cut ties with most all other responsibilities and securities of Home to gamble it all on a new adventurous life traveling on my floating exploration sailing machine. I have made may changes in my life, all taken with absolute enthusiasm and confidence. Some turned out well and some crashed. How will this mega change work out? Only time will tell.
Shake down trip to Cabo went well. Discovered a few issues along the way and learned more about the sailing habits of this remarkable ship. So many systems to learn and maintain, but a nice learning curve and fun to have new things to think about and solve. Bring resourceful and overcoming problems with what you have on board is one of the unique pleasures of long distance sailing.
So for now as we run with wind on the beam and full sail, I sit in the helm chair with Marina the cat sleeping on my lap and whales breaching near the boat as they es**rt us on our first few hours back at sea on the way to mainland Mexico across the mouth of the Sea of Cortez, I again pass on to each of you a spacial Thank You and invitation to follow along this page and our adventures and make a plan to join as crew somewhere out there at your favorite port or islands.
