Our founder and physical therapist for athletes in the Del Mar aea, Dr. Jordan Zarour, PT, DPT, fell in love with adventure sports through snowboarding, hiking, cycling, rock climbing, surfing, and trail running. If it’s outside and adrenaline is involved, Jordan either has done it or is planning out his next trip to make it happen. With the stakes being so high, you must be fully committed to the
here and now, or the consequences can be serious. These moments are where we feel most alive, and we chase these moments to give ourselves that inner gratification. It’s in these activities where Jordan feels most alive and connected to the natural world. As an outdoor fitness coach in Del Mar, CA, he helps nature enthusiasts like himself to be in the best shape possible for their next adventure. From a young age Jordan was interested in health care, living a life fully committed to the well being of others and helping them achieve their full potential. He pursued this passion along with his love for outdoor sports by majoring in Exercise Physiology at the University of Delaware, and continuing his education to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy through the New York Institute of Technology. As a leading physical therapist for athletes in the Del Mar area, Jordan started The Nomadic Athlete as a way to connect with other like minded athletes, and keep them exploring the natural world through sport and fitness. It is his passion to make sure his patients are physically and mentally performing at their peak ability, so they can experience life, leaving behind no rock unturned, no peak not climbed, and no wave unchased. Serving San Diego as a physical therapist for athletes is his way of giving back to the adventure community, and helping others seek that heightened sense of being, brought on by pushing our limits in the outdoor world.
