Meet the fire and energy of Kayak Kings, Fernando. He moved to San Diego in 2014 for college and has absolutely loved it here. Fernando enjoys being out on the water whenever he can for as long as he can. One of his favorite rides was from Spanish Landing West to Coronado Ferry Landing. I don't think any one of us had any idea how important the impact of a paddle would be! Not to mention that there was such a variety of paddles to choose from. We decided to use paddles with asymmetric blades. Why? I'm glad you asked!Β  Efficiency and comfort.Β

Asymmetric blades allow for a more smooth stroke and are designed to work efficiently in flat and slow moving water. The two-piece snap-button ferrule enables angles (0 and 60) that make paddling more efficient and in the right angle could help with wind resistance and increase speed. πŸš£β€β™‚οΈπŸš£β€β™€οΈπŸš£

Part of what makes our company so special is our unique, Oru Kayaks; the original origami kayak. These kayaks are made of a custom extruded polypropylene, therefore, extremely durable and light. These little guys definitely checked all of our boxes.
