My baby is SIX today 😭 Time is flying by and it’s so bittersweet. I never thought it was possible to love deeper than I already did until I had him. He is the best thing. My favorite person in the entire world.

Happy birthday my love! There is no one in this world I love celebrating more than you. You are the gift that keeps on giving and I’m so lucky you chose me to be your mom❤️

1. Spend Sunday dreading Monday so hard my chest gets tight by 3pm.

2. Count everything I did that day before I let myself sit down, like rest had to be earned.

3. Lie awake running through every possible way something could go wrong before I made a single decision.

4. Wake up already behind - first thought of the day, before I even touched my phone.

5. Go to bed with my jaw clenched so tight I’d wake up with headaches.

6. Apologize for needing anything, like my needs were an inconvenience and a burden.

7. Measure my entire worth by what I produced that day.

I didn’t know I was doing it. I thought it was just what it took to keep everything from falling apart.

All of it was a nervous system that had never once been taught what safe felt like.

There is a version of your life that you literally cannot picture right now, and it’s not because it doesn’t exist. It’s because your current baseline has been the frame for so long that you’ve started mistaking it for just who you are.

The Sunday dread, the jaw you clench in your sleep, the way you replay every decision until your brain finally gives up and calls it rest…

You’ve filed all of that under “I’m just an anxious person” or “I’m just a Type A mom” or “this is just what hustle feels like.”

I used to tell myself and people, “ I LOVE to plan.” I even wanted to be a wedding planner because I was “so good at planning.”

When I started to really heal, I realized I hated planning and the only reason I convinced myself I really loved it is bc my BODY never felt safe enough to let someone else take the lead. That looked like, chest crushing anxiety, panic, and wanting to cry.

To me, if I didn’t do it, no one else would so to protect myself from the disappointment of “not being good enough for people to care”, I would take everything on myself (aka bypassing my feelings & my body).

I hate to tell ya, but it’s not just who you are. It’s a pattern you developed that CAN be changed. This is what we do inside The Rebel Mom® Society - every month, in community, with tools that actually land in your body and not just your head.

“Good vibes only” culture didn’t make you more positive. It made you really, really good at abandoning yourself in the sneakiest way - while you felt like you were doing all the right things.

Every time you grabbed for a reframe before you let yourself feel it, your nervous system filed it away. Stored in your body, waiting for somewhere to go.

That’s why the anxiety keeps coming back and why you can do all the right things and still feel like something is wrong.

Your feelings were never the problem. They were the message. And you were taught to override them vs. receive them.

That changes here.

If you’re tired of being told to just reframe it and look on the bright side, The Rebel Mom Society is a community of women who are done with that too - and finally doing something that actually works. Link in bio or comment SOCIETY.

I was her for years.

Most self-aware woman in the room.

I could tell you exactly why I reacted the way I did, where it came from, what it meant.

I was still losing it and taking on everything when I should have said no.

I kept thinking if I just go a little deeper, understand it a little more, it’ll finally click.

It didn’t.

Why? Well, this is the part not many people teach…

Stress and trauma don’t just live in your mind. They live in your body. Your tissues. Your nervous system.

So every time I went back for more insight on why I do what I do, I was only working on half the problem.

The other half was years of stored stress sitting in my body with nowhere to go.

That’s why you can know your patterns and still not be able to break them. You can’t will yourself into change especially if your body sees change as a threat.

Comment SOCIETY to join my membership community, The Rebel Mom Society, to get access to what WILL break those patterns once and for all.

Regulated women, we get called selfish a lot.

Usually by people who are uncomfortable watching someone choose themselves because it makes them think about all the ways they haven’t.

I’d rather get called selfish than spend another 30 years living my life based on what anyone thinks of me.

Also, if you’re being a judgy bitch to a woman that chooses herself, it’s really only bc you wish you could do it too and you don’t know how.

I used to be a judgy bitch, and not in the fun way I am today 😂 In the way that made me feel less than and that sucked.

Now I teach women how to choose themselves everyday bc I’ve been there, done that and life is more fun on this side🖤

If you want fun with other women who are also choosing fun, you should join The Rebel Mom Society. It’s my free membership where you learn how to be selfish for good.

Step one is getting your body out of survival mode.

I made you a free 20-minute full body relaxation exercise that does exactly that- it starts in the body so your mind can actually come back online.

You can get it and more videos in my free private community, intentionally curated for the working mom that’s ready to see some real changes, not live in more excuses.

If that’s you, link in bio or DM SOCIETY to join🖤

My anxiety went from a 7 to a manageable 3 with this 4 minute somatic reset.

So when my son and husband got home, they found a mom and wife that took the edge off just enough to make the night meaningful and peaceful.

Is it like this every night? Hell no. I’m still human & on the rare occasion lose my s**t.

All I know is that when I’m not ok, my 5 year old isn’t ok and that is something I can control🖤

Try it out and let me know what you think in the comments.
