Welcome, Coach Larry Viloria!
Mount Miguel Early College High School proudly welcomes Larry Viloria Jr. as the new Head Coach of Matador Varsity Football, and this one is truly a homecoming.
A Mount Miguel alumnus (Class of 1996), Coach Viloria grew up right here in Spring Valley and has deep roots in the community our student-athletes call home. After graduating from Mount Miguel, he continued his education at Grossmont College and San Diego State University, experiences that further deepened his roots with our community.
Coach Viloria brings over two decades of coaching experience, beginning in 2004. He spent 19 seasons with Los Toros, our local Spring Valley youth football team, building a reputation as a dedicated teacher of the game and a strong role model for student-athletes.
His return to Mount Miguel has been years in the making. In 2024, he served as Head Freshman Coach, laying a strong foundation for the program’s future. In 2025, he stepped into the role of Head JV Coach, continuing to develop players and strengthen the Matador football pipeline. Now, he takes the reins as Head Varsity Coach, ready to lead the program with pride, discipline, and a deep understanding of what it means to wear the red and black.
Off the field, Coach Viloria is a proud family man. He has been married to his wife, Alissa, for 16 years, and they have two sons: Noah (23) and Maximus (16). His commitment to family mirrors the culture he strives to build within the Matador football program, one built on trust, accountability, and brotherhood.
Coach Viloria’s vision is simple:
Develop great football players, but more importantly, develop great young men.
Welcome home, Coach. The Matador community is ready to get to work.
