⁣While a caloric deficit is a main principle of losing weight, eating less then a 1000 calories per day puts you at greater risk of losing lean body muscles mass and nearly ensures you do not meet the daily recommended intake for nutrients like healthy fats, proteins and carbs and vitamins and minerals. ⠀

⁣Check out these two great quad stretches! ⠀

The dynamic stretch seen on the left is excellent for a warm up! Ensure you grasp your foot and maintain balance while doing this stretch and for a greater challenge touch your other foot with your hand. ⠀

For the static stretch, ensure your back is straight and your head is up, and lead forward while still maintaining upright position if you want a greater stretch!⠀

The monster walk is a fantastic exercise that will target your adductors and glutes!! Utilize a resistance and place either around your ankles or even around your feet for increased difficulty! An emphasis should be on slow steps, not shuffling!!

Follow the cues above, and be sure that this functional exercise will be a part of your leg routine, especially if you are an athlete!!
