If you’ve followed my journey for a while, you know it’s taken me years to get to a place of true health, wellness, and body acceptance. As someone who struggled with eating disorders in my teens, loving my body hasn’t always come easily.
For a long time I focused on what I wished I could change instead of appreciating what my body could do.
The shift for me has been learning to value my body for what it does, not just what it looks like.
Do I still have insecurities? Of course. I still catch myself comparing sometimes. I think most of us do. But I’ve learned to bring it back to gratitude.
After having babies, losing loved ones far too young, and experiencing the ups and downs of life, I’ve realized something simple but powerful: this body is my temple.
It carries me through life every single day.
So if you’re struggling with body confidence, just know you’re not alone. When the negative thoughts creep in, I try to remind myself of all the amazing things my body allows me to do.
Take care of yourself. Move your body. Fuel it well. Surround yourself with people who support you.
Your body deserves that love🤍
