Carter had an impressive week, going 6 for 7 with a double, 2 runs, and a stolen base. Allan Hancock was a victory of 11-2, Carter was 3 for 4 with a double, a run, and a putout.
In the second game against Allan Hancock, Carter went 3 for 3 with a run, a stolen base, a putout, and 2 assists.

Mariah currently holds a .500 batting average and has only struck out once in 42 at-bats this year. Despite battling sickness during a game, Mariah played a crucial role in leading the team to victory against Allan Hancock.

Stephanie Russo had an impressive week, going 8 for 12 with 1 double, 4 RBIs, 3 stolen bases, 5 runs, 20 putouts, and 3 assists.
In the first game against Chaffey, Russo went 2 for 4 with an RBI, 2 stolen bases, 7 putouts, and an assist. In the second game victory against Chaffey, she was 3 for 4 with an RBI, a stolen base, 3 runs, 10 putouts, and 1 assist. Against #10 ranked Bakersfield College, Stephanie went 3 for 4, starting the game with a double and scoring a run. She also had an RBI and 3 putouts in that game.

In statewide rankings, Russo is currently 35th in hits, 32nd in doubles, 21st in batting average (.457), 62nd in on-base percentage (.474), and 36th in slugging percentage (.630). She has recorded at least one hit in every game except for 6 out of the 27 games she has played in this season. Additionally, Russo has made 122 putouts, 7 assists, and only 5 errors so far this season.

San Bernardino Valley College’s sophomore returner, Kaitlynn LaFleur, showcased her exceptional skills this week with a stellar performance against East LA.

LaFleur was a standout at bat, going 3 for 4 and scoring an impressive 3 runs while also displaying her speed with 3 stolen bases. Her offensive contributions were complemented by her defensive play, making four crucial putouts throughout the week.

With her speed and agility, LaFleur currently ranks 39th in the state for stolen bases, underscoring her impact on the basepaths. Her all-around performance highlights her value to the team and positions her as a key player to watch as the season progresses.

Stephanie Russo, a freshman utility player ( #11) from San Bernardino Valley College, also showcased her skills this week. She ranks 24th in the state for doubles, 14th for batting average, and 29th for slugging. Stephanie went 5 for 9 in total with a home run, 3 runs, 2 walks, 2 RBIs, and recorded 17 putouts. In the game against Chaffey, she performed admirably, going 2 for 3 with a home run, 2 RBIs, a walk, and 2 runs. Against MSJC, her contributions continued with a 1 for 3 performance, a walk, and 1 run. In the second game against MSJC, she was 2 for 3 and made 10 putouts.

Alyssa’s week was marked by exceptional play, tallying a 7-for-12 record at the plate. Currently ranking 16th in the state for homeruns, her offensive prowess was evident, accruing 5 RBI, including 2 doubles and a powerful home run. Additionally, she showcased clutch hitting with 3 extra base hits and crossed the plate 3 times. Defensively, Alyssa proved her versatility with 1 putout and an impressive 9 assists.

Consistency defined Alyssa’s week, securing hits in every game she batted in. Notably, against Long Beach City, she went 2 for 2 with a double, contributing 2 RBI and a pivotal assist. Another standout performance came against OCC, where Alyssa added an RBI and an assist to her impressive stats.

In the initial clash with LA Harbor, Alyssa displayed her offensive prowess, going 3 for 4 with a homerun, a double, and a single, driving in 1 run and providing valuable defensive support with 1 putout and 5 assists.

🌟 Congratulations to Stephanie Russo, aka Stevie, for being named the IEAC Player of the Week from Feb 12-16! Stevie’s performance was outstanding, going 8 for 11 with the second-highest batting average in the state. In the game against #1 Palomar, she went 1 for 2, and against Grossmont, she was on fire, going 7 for 7 with 5 runs, 2 stolen bases, 2 doubles, and 2 RBIs. Keep shining on the field, Stevie! 💪⚾
