Swing for the Fences in Elsa, TX

1st USSSA Tourney after a few seasons in other organizations for OBC.

Owls went 3-1 on the wknd.
Falling to Toros in the Championship 6 to 4

After almost perfect defense for 3 games, errors came out in Championship accounting for 3 or 4 runs which was the major difference in this game.

Bats were hot and active all wknd.
Had 4 inside the parks HRs in a big 14u field.
1 was a inside the park GrandSlam from James Magee earning him MVP Game 2 Saturday.

Game 1 Pool Play- Pitching and an Inside the Park earned Lucas Coronado his MVP.

Bracket Game 1 - Lucas again pitched a great game

Championship - Evan was pitching a gem and went the complete game for Championship Game Finalists MVP

Owls are clicking and that's because 2 ace pitchers are resting arms due to injuries, and a part timer out 3 months to another injury.

We can only get better from here.
Shaping up to be a great 12u Season as the pieces are falling in all the right places.

OBC traveled to McAllen.
After going 0-1-1 in Pool Play we ended up around the Middle of the pack in a huge 19 team Tourney.

That put us in Silver for Sunday.

Owls pulled off a crazy come from behind walk off win off the bat of #20 Pato Tello that put us in Championship.

Next game we again found ourselves in a hole against our friends in DK who for years now give us classic battles.

Owls were down 5 runs going into last at bat, rallied and had some good aggressive base running that gave us huge momentum.

#2 Gabriel Mtz had a good slide at home, was tagged out but catcher drops ball. Blue ended up saying catcher dropped on the transfer which gave them out #2.
#27 Evan Hernandez came up and got on, after a passed ball at 3 Evan sprinted home for an aggressive slide also, this time blue gave us that run. Owls 8 DK 9

Down 1, tying runner on... DK Pitcher did what he had been doing most of the game - squashed our rally with a K.

Great game - Boys fought Sunday.
After a loss like that - All Smiles !

#42 Chevy Stephenson had a great diving catch in CF that was ruled a no catch which led to them scoring 2 runs off that.
Little things here and there where the game could've tilted either way.

No negativity, the stands were crazy on both sides but all for the Boys on the field.

With his walk off Sunday, another big hit in Championship, and decent pitching all wknd - our newest Owl - Pato Tello earned All Tourney MVP.
