CPLL was formed when Northeast Little League and Perrin Beitel Little League merged. We have a long history of providing a safe, fun environment for kids to play and learn baseball and softball. Unlike many other ballparks in San Antonio and surrounding areas, we are not a city park, and therefore rely solely on donations from businesses and individuals. ⚾🛡️ National Safety Month Spotlight🛡️⚾
Protecting Our Players On and Off the Field

At Capitol Park Little League, safety is more than helmets and equipment—it's about creating a secure, positive environment where every child can learn, grow, and enjoy the game.

As part of our commitment to player safety, Little League requires all volunteers who have regular contact with players to complete:

✅ Background Checks
Every coach, manager, and volunteer is screened through a national background check process. This important step helps ensure that the adults entrusted with our players meet Little League's standards for youth safety and protection.

✅ Abuse Awareness Training
All volunteers must complete child abuse awareness training to recognize warning signs, understand reporting requirements, and help prevent abuse before it happens. Education empowers adults to protect children both on and off the field.

✅ Diamond Leader Training
The Diamond Leader Program teaches coaches and volunteers how to create a positive, respectful, and supportive team culture. It emphasizes character, sportsmanship, inclusion, and leadership while helping volunteers foster an environment where every player feels valued and safe.

💙 Why It Matters
Baseball is about more than wins and losses. It's about building confidence, friendships, character, and lifelong memories. These requirements help ensure that every child who steps onto a Capitol Park Little League field is surrounded by trusted adults who are committed to their well-being.

Together, we're creating a culture where players can thrive, families can feel confident, and the focus remains on fun, development, and safety.

☀️⚾ SUMMER IS HERE! ⚾☀️

The first day of summer means longer days, more sunshine, and plenty of baseball! Whether you're at practice, playing in a game, or just having fun outside, staying hydrated is one of the most important ways to perform your best on the field.

💧 Summer Hydration Facts:
⚾ Kids can lose a significant amount of fluid through sweat before they even feel thirsty.
⚾ Even mild dehydration can affect focus, reaction time, and athletic performance.
⚾ Water helps regulate body temperature and keeps muscles working properly.

🏆 Hydration Tips for Ballplayers:
✅ Start drinking water before practice or games.
✅ Bring a refillable water bottle everywhere.
✅ Take water breaks every 15-20 minutes during outdoor activities.
✅ Eat water-rich fruits like watermelon, strawberries, oranges, and grapes.
✅ Replace fluids after games and workouts.

🌡️ Watch for signs of dehydration:
❗ Headache
❗ Dizziness
❗ Fatigue
❗ Dry mouth
❗ Dark-colored urine

⚾🔥 HOME RUN HITTERS 🔥⚾

This picture shows some of the longest home runs ever recorded in baseball history—but now it's your turn!

👇 Tell us in the comments:

⚾ If you could hit a home run anywhere, what stadium would you choose?
⚾ How far do you think YOUR longest home run would travel?
⚾ Which MLB player would you want to learn hitting tips from?

💭 Bonus Question:
Do you think anyone will ever hit a home run farther than the legendary distances on this list?

For our younger players:
🟦 T-Ball & Coach Pitch: How many bases do you think you could run before the ball gets back to the infield?
🟥 Minors, Majors & Juniors: What's your baseball goal for this upcoming season—your first home run, more hard-hit balls, or simply making solid contact?

Remember: Every baseball superstar started with a dream, a bat, and a lot of practice. Keep working hard and your big moment could be just one swing away! 💪⚾

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth — a day that honors freedom, resilience, and the enduring contributions of African Americans to our nation's history.

Baseball's story would not be complete without the trailblazers of history, where legendary athletes like Satchel Paige, Josh Gibson, Cool Papa Bell, and Buck O'Neil showcased extraordinary talent during a time when segregation kept them from Major League Baseball. Their determination, excellence, and love for the game helped pave the way for icons like Jackie Robinson, who broke baseball's color barrier and forever changed the sport.

The legacy of these players reminds us that baseball is at its best when everyone has the opportunity to play, compete, and belong.

At Capitol Park Little League, we are proud to be an inclusive league where players of all backgrounds, abilities, and experiences are welcomed, valued, and encouraged to chase their dreams. Through baseball and softball, we strive to build a community rooted in respect, teamwork, and opportunity for all.

Today we honor the past, celebrate the progress made, and continue working toward a future where every child has a place on the field.

❤️🖤💚 Happy Juneteenth from Capitol Park Little League. ⚾

⚾💙 **A Season to Remember** 💙⚾

Last night, our 12U All-Stars played their final game of the tournament, bringing an unforgettable season to a close. While the outcome wasn't what we had hoped for, the scoreboard could never measure the heart, determination, and growth these young athletes showed every time they stepped onto the field.

This group of boys represented Capitol Park with pride, grit, and sportsmanship. From their accomplishments with their regular season teams to their incredible tournament run, they gave us countless moments to cheer for and memories we'll never forget.

To our players: Thank you for the effort, dedication, and passion you brought to the game. You've grown not only as baseball players, but as teammates, leaders, and young men. The lessons learned, friendships built, and memories made this season will stay with you long after the final out.

To our coaches, families, and supporters: Thank you for every practice, every long evening at the ballpark, every word of encouragement, and every sacrifice made along the way. This journey would not have been possible without you.

While this chapter has come to an end, the story is far from over. These boys have bright futures ahead, and we can't wait to watch them continue to grow, compete, and chase their dreams. Fall Ball is right around the corner, and we're excited to see what's next for this talented group.

💙 Once a team, always family.
⚾ Thank you, 12U All-Stars, for a season we'll never forget.
⭐ The future is bright, and we're proud of every one of you.

⚾️💙 ONE GAME DOESN'T DEFINE THIS TEAM! 💙⚾️

Last night didn't end the way our Capitol Park 12U All-Stars hoped, but champions aren't measured by a single game—they're measured by how they respond.

These boys have worked too hard, battled too long, and shown too much heart to back down now. Tonight, they get another chance to step onto the field, play the game they love, and leave it all between the lines.

🔥 Come out and cheer on our Capitol Park 12U Boys as they take on McAllister Park Navy!
