The Rifle and Pistol Club at UVa, a University of Virginia Contracted Independent Organization (CIO), offers students of all skill levels the opportunity to participate in marksmanship. The Club provides instructio

n in rifle, pistol, and shotgun marksmanship and firearm safety. Based at the Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club (a shooting range facility), Virginia Rifle and Pistol Club has several coaches dedicated to the furthering of shooting sports and to supporting student athletes and members of the Club. It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. The shotgun team returned yesterday from the Eastern Regional Championships and brought home third place in event 2 (trap)! Special congratulations to shooter Tyler Hill for placing second high overall in both trap events! Thanks to GMU for hosting such a great shoot.

Rifle and pistol orientation will be tomorrow (Sunday) at 7:00pm. Please meet at Slaughter gym at 6:40 for rides. Don't forget the orientation fee if you haven't already paid.

Welcome back UVa students, hopefully the year is off to a great start!

We will be holding our first shotgun orientation of the year TODAY! We are meeting at Slaughter Gym at 2:00 to go to the range. No experience needed, we have excellent coaches that will be there to help. Make sure to bring $15 to cover the cost for orientation.
Following today, the next orientations will be held next Friday (9/12) and the following Tuesday (9/16).

Also, be on the lookout for an email about the next rifle and pistol orientation.

Feel free to comment with any questions, but otherwise we hope to see you there!
