Be aware of your ammo. This case had no tarnish, or verdigris. Don’t assume that it’s safe. His late father had this ammo in his garage. The shooter has no idea the age or how long it had been in unsafe climate conditions. He was fortunate to only lose an extractor and not an eye or other body parts. The blast was strong enough to imprint the case nomenclature on the bolt. No garage kept ammo! Please stay away from garage sale,estate sold ammo, and ammo you personally have not stored. Especially if you have no idea how, or where it’s been kept. It ain’t worth your firearm or your body parts. Stay safe, stay smart, and stay diligent y’all!
