Words from Coach Garcia to My Warriors

Reflections on the 2025 Wrestling Season: A Journey of Ups and Downs

As we hit the home stretch of this wrestling season, I can’t help but reflect on how the journey has unfolded so far. It's been a season full of ups and downs, but one thing remains clear: the growth and improvement in our athletes are undeniable.

Like any season, we’ve faced our challenges. There have been tough matches, moments of doubt, and times when it felt like we weren’t progressing as quickly as we hoped. Wrestling is a demanding sport, and it tests both physical and mental limits. But despite those hurdles, I’ve seen the kids rise to the occasion time and time again. Whether it was getting back up after a tough loss or pushing through during a grueling practice, they’ve shown resilience.

The progress has been truly inspiring. Each athlete is improving in their own unique way—whether it's mastering a technique they struggled with earlier in the season, growing in confidence, or learning how to keep their composure under pressure. These small but meaningful improvements are what make coaching so rewarding. It’s not always about the wins and losses; it’s about seeing the kids work hard, stay dedicated, and enjoy the process of becoming better.

As we head into the final stretch of the season, I’m feeling hopeful and excited for what’s ahead. I know that with the work we’ve put in, the lessons learned, and the camaraderie built along the way, the kids are ready to finish strong. I’m proud of each and every one of them, and I truly believe they have what it takes to end this season on a high note.

Here’s to continuing the hard work, staying positive, and pushing ourselves to be the best versions of who we can be on and off the mat. The journey may not always be smooth, but it’s one we’ll look back on with pride—and I’m looking forward to seeing all the success that’s yet to come.

Let’s finish strong!
