We’re happy to share that power has been restored and the D.R. Semmes Family YMCA will be operating as normal hours today from 1 PM to 5 PM.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during yesterday’s closure due to the power outage.

Good afternoon, D.R. Semmes members and community!

Due to last night’s thunderstorm and the ongoing power outage, our facility will remain closed for the remainder of the day, Saturday, August 29.

All Group Exercise (GX) classes and activities scheduled for today have been canceled.

We are hoping power will be restored and that we can resume normal operations tomorrow. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep everyone updated regarding tomorrow’s opening time.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding. Please stay safe, and thank you for being part of our Y community!

⚠️ FACILITY UPDATE – DELAYED OPENING ⚠️

Good morning, DR Semmes members and community!

Due to last night’s thunderstorm, our facility is currently without power and will have a delayed opening today, Saturday, August 29.

At this time, we do not have an estimated time for when power will be restored. For the safety of our members and staff, the facility will remain closed until power is restored and we are able to safely reopen.

❌ All Group Exercise (GX) classes scheduled for today have been canceled.

We will continue to monitor the situation and share an update as soon as we have more information regarding our opening time.

Out of an abundance of caution, all YMCA of Greater San Antonio facilities will open on a delayed schedule tomorrow, Thursday, July 16, at 8:00 a.m.

Our team is continuing to closely monitor weather conditions overnight and throughout the morning. If additional changes to branch hours, classes, or programs become necessary, we will communicate them as quickly as possible.

We encourage everyone to stay safe, avoid flooded roadways, and follow guidance from local officials. If travel is unsafe in your area, please stay home.

If you're unable to make it to the Y, you can stay active with YMCA360 through your YMCA app, featuring hundreds of on-demand workouts, fitness classes, youth activities, and wellness content for the whole family.
