A historic night for Jaguar Athletics.
Texas A&M-San Antonio officially competed in its first cross country meet Friday at the UIW Twilight Meet, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the university’s men’s and women’s cross country programs.
The Jaguar men finished seventh in the 6K, led by Taylor Warrick with a time of 20:38.12. Diego Ramirez, Derek Adams, Jacob Vargas and Payton Defelippis also contributed to the team’s historic debut.
On the women’s side, the Jaguars finished eighth in the 4K. Bethany Iñiguez led A&M-San Antonio with a team-best time of 16:05.87, followed by Anna Munoz, Alicia Martinez, Miah Reyes and Kayla Puente.
