5 UPDATES YOU NEED TO KNOW about this Saturdays draft!

This Saturdays draft will be held at Hills and Dales Ice House (15403 White Fawn Dr, San Antonio, TX 78255). Draft start times are listed below:
Beer Bums - 11:30AM
Sixer Seekers - 2:30PM
Remember, all league entry fees are due on draft day so bring your cash or checks or you can't play. :(
Beer Bums - $320
Sixer Seekers - $170
Lunch will be served at Hills and Dales Ice House between 2:00 and 2:30. We know its a small window but this should be plenty of time to grab a quick bite after the first draft or before the next. The menu has also changed as we will be serving burgers, all the fixings, and chips to make it easy on everyone.
There are still some spots open, 3 in Beer Bums and 1 in Sixer Seekers, so please let your friends know if they would like to join any of our leagues or join up as a co-coach. We just need their name, email and phone numbers to get them in and we can coordinate league dues and entry fees.
We will be holding two more conference calls at 8:30PM for last minute items starting tonight (08-30) and Thursday (09-02) so please join if you can. Details below to log in:

Good Morning Ladies & Gents - Jerry and I would like to welcome back all of our coaches kicking off our 2016 FFL season! We would also like to extend a warm welcome to Brian Gutierrez who will join myself as a co-commish to Mr. Cavazos. Brian is a great addition and will be handling all of the finances this year. The three of us have already met and agreed on a few items (details below). More information to come in due time but please feel free to raise any questions / concerns / suggestions to any one of us (contact info at bottom).

Draft Day 09-03 (Saturday) Labor Day Weekend
Draft location will be at Jerry’s casa as in year’s past. 14614 Sonora Falls, Helotes Texas 78023
We’re looking to have an NFL costume contest at the draft with prizes * more to come
As always…. we have a people who would like to join our league so it’s important for you to RSVP / ASAP. * we are requiring a deposit this year to hold your spot until draft day.

We’re moving to Yahoo’s FFL league. CBS is costly so this move allows better payouts. We’re finalizing testing and functionality to be very close.
Draft order will be determined a week in advance and via Facebook live * allows teams to be better prepared for draft day

The draft will take place at Jerry’s casa (same as last year, address below). We will start the Big Dog draft at 11:30am and the Little Dog at 4:30pm. We would like to finish before dark so please plan 3-3.5 hours for the draft to complete. We do have a couple people who would like to join our league so it’s important for you to RSVP / ASAP. Good Morning Ladies & Gents - Jerry and I would like to welcome back all of our coaches kicking off our 2015 FFL season!

Initial headcount - If you plan on participating this year please contact myself or Jerry directly and ASAP. 2 leagues. Entry fees are 200$ and 100$ respectively. We will not have fees for Adds/Drops/Trades

League Fees - We prefer you pay in full on the day of the draft. You may also direct deposit to Jerry’s account or Sean will have PayPal available as well.

Rule Changes - Overall the rules remain the same. We’ve decided to drop the required TE and replace with a Flex spot (WR/TE/RB). Waivers will change slightly so that those teams with the better records will be lower in the order week to week (basically the reverse order of the standings). Playoff spots will be decided on the day of the draft. If you have questions/concerns/suggestions on the rules, let us know ASAP.

Draft Party - For the most part everything will be the same. Keg Beer / Margaritas / BBQ / Music / DraftBoards. Time of the first and second draft will be firmed up. We will let everyone know how much we will charge for beer / liquor and/or bbq.

Happy New Year to all of you! 2014 is in the books! Jerry and I would like to take a moment and thank all of you for a great season and congratulate our Winners! Jerry has been out of pocket on vacation for the last couple of weeks and plans to send a follow up email early next week which includes this seasons payouts.

As for 2015 we already have great ideas (see the teaser at the bottom) to make our league/s even better! If you have suggestions of your own please let us know!

A special shout out from myself to our boy Jerry for running this league…… without you Perm…. this wouldn’t ever have been possible! I’ve been in a few different leagues over the years and I have to say our this far surpasses any of the others from draft day through seasons end. This is due largely to the great people involved year in and year out and we will no doubt continue to evolve. Have a great new year and we look forward to seeing you all again in September!!

Big Dog League: Congratulations to Javier Rios Aka The Raging Patriot for taking down his first Super Bowl victory! The Gamblers came up short as our Runner up with Those 2 As****es and Devil Dogs taking home 3rd and 4th respectively.

Little Dog League: Congratulations to the Prather brothers AKA Gamblers who took home their 4th Superbowl title in 5 years! Shout out to their arch rival Devil Dawgs for taking home runner up. Also congratulations to our 3rd and 4th place finishes Caballo Negro and LoneStar!

Teaser Alert…… Something we are looking at in 2015 is removing the mandatory TE and adding a second flex position. This will no doubt increase the flexibility you have as a manager when drafting and constructing your teams.
