3 cues to help keep your weight back: 🔥
1. Keep your nose behind your belly button
If your nose gets out in front too early, your weight usually goes with it. Stay centered and controlled through the load.
2. Feel pressure in your back hip
As you load, feel your weight gather into the inside of your back leg. Don’t let it drift forward before the swing starts.
3. Move forward slow, swing fast
The stride should be controlled. If you rush toward the pitcher, you lose power and timing. Stay back longer, then explode through the ball.
Keeping your weight back isn’t about hanging back and not moving forward. It’s about staying balanced and holding your position until it’s time to turn the barrel loose. 💥💣
