We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our dear friend and Seniors in Play participant, Rachel Delgado.

Rachel was truly one of our own. We feel so lucky that we got to hear her stories, watch her perform, and spend time with her through Seniors in Play. She brought so much of herself into the room, and we loved getting to hear her tell her West Side stories and share the memories that meant so much to her.

She meant so much to our staff and to her fellow participants, and we are grateful she chose to share a little piece of her life with us. Our hearts are with Rachel’s family, friends, and everyone who loved her.

We’re remembering Rachel by celebrating her life, her stories, her spirit, and the joy she brought to our Seniors in Play family. We will carry her stories with us. 💛

A look behind the scenes at rehearsal this weekend! 🎭

Our Arts in Play actresses are getting ready for a special staged reading of Federico García Lorca’s The House of Bernarda Alba, presented in partnership with Phyllis Viagran City Councilwoman District 3 and the City of San Antonio World Heritage Office

Join us as we bring this powerful story to the stage Thursday, September 10 at the San Antonio World Heritage Center!

A Friday morning in our life! 🎭

Last week, our instructors and staff got together for a training day to collaborate, share ideas, and plan for the second half of the year.

We’re always looking for ways to learn, grow, and make our programs even better for the older adults we serve. These days give us the chance to connect as a team and continue building classes that are engaging, creative, and meaningful.

A huge thank you to our incredible instructors for the talent, care, and energy they bring to every class. We couldn’t do it without them! Tag an instructor who makes your week brighter! 🩵
