22 August at Hamilton Community Center San Antonio we are hosting another Tomodachi no Renshu, open to anyone interested in Japanese traditional martial arts. Thierry Sensei from the Saiunkan will introduce JoDo, the Japanese short staff. If you’re a traditional martial artist we hope to meet you and learn more about you and your system has to offer.

Yoshinkan Aikido and Iaido classes start back up this week. Iaido  class is Saturday at 1:30. pm. Please let me know in advance if you are going to attend that class. Aikido class starts tomorrow Wednesday at 6:15 PM and Saturday 10:30 AM. Hope to see you there and bring lots of friends. I look forward to seeing everyone again and having a great time.

No Iaido or Aikido class Wednesday 22 July and Saturday 25 July.. regular classes start back on Wednesday 29 July

We will begin a new Iaido class tomorrow, Saturday, 7/10 at 1330. Depending on the response we get, we will eventually petition the Kendo Federation for membership. We will continue to work with the Saiunkan to further Iaido and Jodo in the community, share practice sessions, and knowledge of these arts. So, see you there!

Reminder, no class on Saturday, 4 July. In addition, this morning coffee is from Rudolfo’s father. Rudolfo is a member of th Saiunkan, another great place for Iaido and excellent Jodo.
