UIL Cross Country has come a long way in 50 years! For one, maps are no longer hand drawn. Distances have also changed! Boys shifted from 2 miles to 5,000 meters, while girls’ races grew from 1 mile to 3,200 meters across all conferences, with the top two conferences switching to 5,000 meters in 2011.

The 2023 JFK Alumni Rocket Run is just TWO days away. This Saturday, come out and support the Rockets cross country team, in conjunction with the Class of 73's 50th Class Reunion. The Rockets invite you to enter and support a good cause. Once a Rocket Always a Rocket, so come and help out, get a little exercise, and know you helped out. $25 entry fee, you get a nice shirt too! Still looking for all you Rockets, and friends and family of Kennedy High School to come out and support our first Kennedy Rocket Run. This 5k will be hosted by the Rocket XC team and we hope you can be a part of this fun event. Run alone or in teams. Run to compete, or for fun. Gets some fresh air, spend time with friends and family, but show up.
