Brazilian Jiu Jiitsu seminar with Luiz Palhares working on an Americana submission from side control when your opponent tries to defend against the near side armbar.

During the Luiz Palhares Jiu Jiitsu seminar we worked on a transition from the near Side armbar from side control to the Americana submission when the person on bottom uses their far side arm to try and block your leg from stepping over their head.

One of the secrets to effective BJJ attacks is knowing the common defenses to your attacks and knowing what attack to chain to your primary attack when they try to defend.
