Our Warriors put together an incredible weekend of racing at the George Block Invitational! Congratulations to our Swimmers of the Meet for their outstanding performances and dedication in and out of the pool.

Lifetime bests in 12 of 13 swims
Improved in all 7 events
Achieved Futures, Sectionals, and Sectionals Bonus standards
Earned 2 new A times and 1 new BB time

⭐ Mia
Lifetime bests in 13 of 14 swims
Improved in all 7 events
Earned a new TAGS qualifying time in the 200 Fly
Added a TAGS Bonus cut in the 100 Fly
Achieved a new AAA time in the 200 IM
Added 2 new AA times

🏐 Water Polo Goalie Clinic @ SWAC

Join us for a focused training opportunity designed specifically for goalies of all levels. This clinic will develop key skills including positioning, eggbeater strength, shot blocking, reaction time, passing, and defensive communication through drills and game-like situations.

📅 Dates: June 20, July 2, July 7, July 9
🕖 Time: 7:00–9:00 PM
📍 Location: SWAC (Southwest ISD Aquatic Center)
💲 Cost: $5 per session

Join us on June 18th from 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM at Peter Piper Pizza for a fun community fundraiser supporting SWISD Aquatics!

Our Southwest ISD Aquatics teams will be there for a team outing from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM, and we’d love to see athletes, families, and prospective swimmers and water polo players come out and join us.

Bring your friends, bring your family, and bring anyone interested in the program! 15% of all sales will be donated back to SWISD Aquatics.

💚🤍💛 BIG NEWS, SAW FAMILY! 💛🤍💚

The Southwest Aquatic Warriors (SAW) are proud to announce that Coach Andrii Nikishenko will be joining our team as our new Head Club Swim Coach, beginning July 1st! 🏊‍♂️🌊

Coach Andrii currently serves as the Head Swim Coach at Legacy High School and brings valuable collegiate coaching experience from the University of the Incarnate Word, where he served as an Assistant Swim Coach. With an impressive background in swimming and coaching, along with numerous accolades and achievements throughout his career, Coach Andrii is a tremendous addition to the SAW family.

His passion for athlete development, commitment to excellence, and wealth of knowledge will help continue building a strong future for our swimmers both in and out of the water. We are excited for our athletes to learn, grow, and succeed under his leadership.

Please join us in giving Coach Andrii a warm Warrior welcome as he prepares to begin this exciting new chapter with SAW on July 1st! 🎉

🏆 Southwest Water Warriors Player of the Month — June 2026 🏆

We are proud to recognize two athletes who continue to set the standard for hard work, growth, and team pride within Southwest Water Warriors.

12U Player of the Month: Luke Battle
Luke has made an incredible impact this season—recently joining Kraken Water Polo at the Welcome to Texas Water Polo Tournament and earning an invitation to compete with them at Junior Olympics in Dallas, TX. His dedication, effort, and attitude are truly paying off, and we are so proud of how he represents SWWP both in and out of the pool.

13 & Over Player of the Month: Nathaniel Gonzalez
Nathaniel shows up and shows OUT every single practice. His commitment, energy, and love for the sport continue to grow with every minute in the water. He brings intensity, focus, and heart—setting the tone for those around him.
