Checkout Aidanโs progress here. Aidan has been playing the game since December 2020 and has consistently made HUGE steps forward in this game with the help of his tremendous work ethic.
Aidan has battled keeping the club face square throughout his back swing, causing him to not compress the golf ball/leave his shots out to the right of his target, so today we focused on:
1) Getting the club face to point towards the ball when the club is parallel with the ground (you can see the angle of the line and arrow pointing to the ball)
& 2) Getting Aidanโs left wrist flat at the top of his backswing (the line over his shoulders that matches up with his left arm at the top of his swing).
These two concepts helps ensure that the club is square to our target, which always results in more consistent, more solid shots!
Aidan has put in the work to be able to put focus on these aspects of swing. Because he has learned the correct way to grip the club and stand at address, working on keeping the club face square in the backswing is much easier than if we would have tried this move 4 months ago.
If youโre having inconsistencies in the golf swing, I recommend troubleshooting the easier fixes in your game FIRST. Learn how to correctly grip the club and stand at address before you tried to change up your golf swing!
The progress that Aidan has made only comes through practice and proper fundamentals.
